The rock space wifi extender setup can be done using two methods;

  1. Wifi Protected Setup Method.

  2. Web Browser Method.



Guide For Wifi Protected Setup Method - 


If your wifi router and extender both support the wifi-protected setup then this section is for you. It is the easiest way to set up the Rock space wifi extender;


  1. Plug your Rockspace wifi extender as close to the wifi router as possible.

  2. Turn it on and wait for the power LED bulb to light up in blue.

  3. Check that the antennas of the extender are upward and vertical to the ground surface.

  4. On your wifi router, press the WPS button.

  5. Wait for at least 2 minutes after that.

  6. Now, press the WPS button on your re.rockspace.local wifi extender.

  7. Check if the signal LED bulb on the wifi range extender turns solid blue.

  8. After that, shift the extender and connect your wifi-compatible devices to it.

  9. Make sure the extender is plugged into an electrical socket that is midway through the router and network dead zones.

Guide For Web Browser Setup Method - 


In case, your wifi router and extender don’t have the WPS button, then this section is for you. IT will guide you on how you can set up your wifi extender using a web browser;


  1. Plug the Rock space wifi extender in the same room as the wifi router for a better connection.

  2. Press the power button to turn on the device. 

  3. Check if the power LED bulb turns solid blue.

  4. Now, connect your wifi-compatible device to the Rock space extender’s network.

  5. Check for the SSID rockspace_EXT in the wifi devices list.

  6. Ensure that you have disabled the mobile data.

  7. Now, on your device launch the default web browser.

  8. Here, type the web address http://re.rockspace.local in the web address field.

  9. In case, the web configuration page doesn’t open, enter the IP address 192.168.0.254 in the address bar.

  10. Now, choose the wifi network you want to extend.

  11. Enter the wifi network’s passkey and then wait for the ‘Extended Successfully’ prompt to appear.

  12. Shift your wifi extender to a new location and then wait for the devices to connect.
